The five KAORA solid perfumes standing among flowers

The festive year

Perfume gifts for every Indian festival

For almost any Indian festival, Royal Musk (saffron, oud, amber) and Ancient (sandalwood, amber) are the easiest fragrances to give. Choose warm scents for evening and winter festivals, fresh ones for daytime and summer.

India celebrates something nearly every month, and each region has its own great festival: Ganesh Chaturthi in Maharashtra, Onam in Kerala, Durga Puja in Bengal, Navratri in Gujarat, Pongal in Tamil Nadu. Most come with new clothes, family visits and gifts.

This calendar covers the whole festive year. The biggest festivals have their own guides; for the rest, here is what we would give.
