Solid perfume vs spray perfume: which should you choose?
A spray carries fragrance in alcohol and projects further; a solid perfume uses wax and oils, stays close to the skin and travels easily. Choose a spray for occasions, a solid for every day.
Both are real perfume. They differ in what carries the scent. A spray dissolves fragrance oils in alcohol; a solid perfume blends them into wax and oils. That one difference changes how each one feels, travels and wears.

Royal Musk
Eau de Parfum · 50 ml
₹799
Spray: a 50 ml eau de parfum with strong projection and 10 to 12 hours of wear.

Ancient
Solid Perfume · 15 g
₹399
Solid: a 15 g alcohol-free tin with moderate projection and 6 to 8 hours of wear.
The differences
- Base: sprays use alcohol; KAORA solids use beeswax, shea butter, jojoba oil and vitamin E, with no alcohol, parabens or silicones.
- Projection: a spray fills the air around you; a solid stays close to the skin.
- Travel: a solid has no liquid and no glass, so it fits a pocket and won't leak.
- Application: a spray is quick and even; a solid is applied with a fingertip, so you control exactly where it goes.
- Reapplying: a solid tin is made to be touched up during the day.
How to use a solid perfume
Rub a fingertip over the surface, then touch it to your wrists, neck and behind the ears. Reapply whenever you like.
Which should you choose?
Choose a spray for evenings, weddings and when you want to be noticed. Choose a solid for work, travel and the gym, or if you prefer a fragrance without alcohol. Many people own both, and Royal Musk's directions suggest layering it over a solid for longer wear.
